The 3,500 year old mummy of an Egyptian king has been 'digitally unwrapped' for the first time
The mummy, which was adorned with flower garlands and a seductive wooden face mask, was so fragile that scientists never exposed the remains, making it the only royal Egyptian mummy discovered in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Egyptian scientists utilised non-invasive digital technology to unwrap and analyse the 3,500-year-old mummies.
Amenhotep I was around 35 years old and 169 centimetres (5.5 feet) tall when he died, according to Saleem and her colleagues.
Saleem stated that the pharaoh had a narrow chin, a little narrow nose, curling hair, and somewhat projecting upper teeth. Their investigation revealed no wounds or deformities that could account for his death.
